ERAZER, a German brand specializing in gaming equipment, announces the return of its Esport competition "Your Road To Victory" (YR2V) for 2024. Building on the success of its first edition, the company is once again looking for the ERAZER Gamechanger, this time on Rocket League, one of the most popular games on the Esports scene. This Europe-wide tournament brings together participants from France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium, with online and offline qualification stages. The two best French players will have the opportunity to qualify for the Grand Final during the Paris Games Week 2024.
In search of the ERAZER Gamechanger
La “Your Road To Victory” competition aims to unearth future esports talent, and this year, Rocket League has been chosen to put participants to the test. Rocket League is among the top 5 most played games by amateur esports enthusiasts in France, according to the 2023 France Esports Barometer from the French Video Game Association (AFJV).
To be eligible for the title of Gamechanger 2024, players will first have to qualify in one of six stages: three online qualifiers and three offline qualifiers, which will take place at Gamescom (Germany), GameCity Vienna (Austria), and Paris Games Week (France), respectively. In total, 18 spots are up for grabs for the Grand Final, which will take place in Germany on November 16, 2024.
A Bootcamp for Finalists
Qualified players will have the chance to participate in a Bootcamp in Germany on October 26, 2024. They will be coached by Rocket League professionals, receiving cutting-edge advice to improve their game. A special Bootcamp will also be organized for the two qualified French winners during Paris Games Week, providing them with optimal preparation before the finals.
Opportunities for French players
French players have a unique chance to win one of the four available spots for the Grand Finals. The international qualifiers will be held on September 20-21, 2024, with two spots to be won online. The other two spots will be awarded during Paris Games Week, from October 23-27, 2024, at the ERAZER booth. In addition to qualifying, the winners will have the opportunity to participate in the Bootcamp on the sidelines of Paris Games Week, where they will be supervised by a professional Rocket League coach.
The Grand Finale: An event not to be missed
The Grand Final will take place in Germany on November 16, 2024. The sixteen finalists from the Bootcamps, as well as the two qualifiers from Paris Games Week, will compete in 1v1 to win the title of ERAZER Gamechanger 2024. This large-scale event will be broadcast live with renowned commentators and analysts, offering an immersive and captivating experience for Esports fans.
High-level rewards
Participants in the online qualifiers will also have the opportunity to win ERAZER prizes via a random drawing. Prizes include a Bandit P20 PC, a Spectator X40 Monitor and various gaming peripherals (headset, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad).
The top four players in the Grand Final will walk away with prizes of considerable value:
