It's not really a mod, it's a program that uses Google Maps data feed at the expense of Bing maps. The textures of the floors are immediately finer and more detailed.
It's on the platform flightsim.to that you will find the instructions to succeed in swapping Microsoft's data with that of its rival Google. The developer, Derekhe, invites you to download the latest version of its program " msfs2020-google-map » on Github, and unzip it in the directory of your choice. About thirty MB, you just have to launch it from the "run.bat" command prompt in administrator mode… and that's it. A window opens, and, by default, there is nothing to touch other than the “RUN” button. (Also remember to press STOP once your gaming session is over).
This miracle program is of course to be launched BEFORE the game Flight Simulator 2020. The latter will only see fire and will load the textures from Google Maps automatically. The result is final. Google's servers are fast and, with a weak connection, you don't even notice the loads. The floors are more detailed and up to date. The data stream is saved in the "cache" directory of the " msfs2020-google-map“, Which you can empty if it gets too big for your hard drive.
