Need some help in the fields? Or let’s say, a little assistance. In Farming Simulator 25, not only have the AI workers been reworked to be more accurate and reliable, but now every vehicle can use a GPS steering assistant for smarter farming, without wasted effort. Of course, if you prefer the old way, you still have the choice!
Smarter workers
By pressing the dedicated key (H by default on PC), an AI worker will immediately take over, as before. By holding the key, additional settings are available to you.
The first mode, " Worker ", focuses on the features of your virtual assistant. The optimal settings are preconfigured, and depending on the size and shape of the field, you will be able to precisely visualize its actions:
- Working width : based on the tool used for the desired action. If multiple tools are attached, the width can be adjusted to avoid overlapping.
- Number of headlands : determined by the machine and the action, but modifiable.
- Use the pounds : This setting tells the aid whether to treat this area like the rest of the field (e.g. plow, harvest) or keep it as a maneuvering lane.
- Work order : defines whether the worker starts at the edge (useful for harvesting) or finishes it last (often for tillage).
- Line break (skip lines): Useful for leaving space between lines, allowing you to use your own machines between passes.
As soon as the worker begins, he will choose the best orientation for his maneuvers while prioritizing the work within the limits of the field.
Power steering
Prefer to maneuver yourself rather than pay an AI worker? No problem! In Farming Simulator 25, each tractor can be equipped with a GPS assistant.
Switching from the AI Worker tab to Power steering, other options open up to manage the field with GPS assistance:
- Working width : configured according to the tools used.
- Number of headlands : also customizable and automatically adjusted according to the chosen tool.
- Work orientation : modifiable in degrees, to avoid, for example, working facing the midday sun.
- Lateral shift : useful if you are using tools with an offset, like some mowers.
- Displaying lines : enables or disables the 3D lines visible on the terrain, whether you are in exterior view or from the cabin.
With the live line display, you keep an eye on the progress of the work. On the HUD, a “ready” indicator appears when the machine is aligned and ready to start.
A selected line is displayed in orange, turning green as soon as you start moving forward. The working width of your machine is represented by blue lines. The remaining lines to be covered appear in white and turn gray once completed.
