The March Mod Creator Awards are live. It always rewards 5 mods in 5 different categories. A glance at the choice of the Saber Interactive, Focus, and mod.io teams for this month of March.
On the vehicle side, 3 were selected. The first, the MP500 Unipog, is a copy of the famous UniMog. High on wheels, it goes almost everywhere but is very quickly destabilized by its high center of gravity. Well modeled, it has a large standard equipment. Its low price makes it a vehicle of first choice, able to explore the maps and make small deliveries.
For vehicles that are a little heavier and more versatile, the developers have chosen the pack Zikz off-road pack. It's only available for consoles for some reason we don't know. “An awesome pack of trucks that will cover all of your SnowRunner needs. Lots of useful and very detailed add-ons (including a huge crane! Yay!). " argue the development team.
Let's stay in the vehicles, to end with this category, with a pack of 2 tractors, the Mod Pack K-60 and K-62, which won first place in the "unique mod" section. “Who would have thought that a tractor would be so convenient and useful in Snowrunner for cargo delivery and rescue operations? For the maps, we are spoiled. Let's start with Test of strength, a hardcore map without garage or gas station which won the prize in the “Map Design” category. “A card with a very interesting and stimulating concept: no garage, no refueling stations, no possibility of evacuating vehicles. We really like the trial and error approach to this card design. To be honest, we didn't manage to complete it on the first try, but in the end we did, and it was really fun. Real hardcore as we like it. " testifies the developers. Personally a little too hardcore for my taste. The slightest misstep is fatal, no matter if you have 5 minutes or 5 hours of play.
This month's mod map is undoubtedly Red Canyon. Here, we change the scenery. And that's what caught the eye of developers. No more snow, ice, and even to a lesser extent mud. We find ourselves in a canyon with bright red earth and hard, bouncy terrain. Strong point of this map, it has a few tasks and real contracts, which few mod maps offer. “Do we really need to explain why this mod was chosen for this month's awards? The desert landscapes are simply amazing. The exploration and construction tasks are exciting and fun. We would love to see more cards with unique settings like this in the future.
