The Phone (2a) Plus takes the brand's most popular smartphone and amplifies three key areas: performance, camera and design. The Phone (2a) Plus adds two new colors for Nothing smartphones: metallic gray and an upgraded black. Reminiscent of machinery, the metallic finish offers a new premium expression of Nothing's design language, while showcasing the cutting-edge updates of the Phone (2a) Plus.
With a design history inherited from the Phone (2a), the Phone (2a) Plus was designed at the intersection of engineering and art. By integrating components outside the smartphone, we created an anthropomorphic appearance in which the cameras inside the NFC coil represent two eyes sitting in front of a brain-like center of intelligence and communication. It's a daily digest that leverages AI technology to bring together the day's news in a simple, intuitive format and is read aloud by Nothing's CFO, Tim Holbrow. It is available on all Nothing smartphones via the Nothing Widgets app on the Google Play Store.
The widget provides information selected from eight possible genres: business, entertainment, general, health, science, sports and technology. The AI system then summarizes news articles from English-language news sources based on their category and converts them into audio. Each article summary is one minute long, with a total of 8 articles per day. Every morning (relative local time), the widget will automatically refresh with a new bank of stories. To skip an article, simply go to the quick settings panel or the Media Player widget. News Reporter works instantly, without prior registration.
