NVIDIA confirms the next release of the RTX 4070 Ti desktop graphics card.
The RTX 4070 Ti isn't expected to launch until next week, but NVIDIA is already readying its product pages for the official launch. It looks like one of the marketing teams made a mistake by sharing/uploading the data too soon.
Base specs and some official performance were shared by NVIDIA France, which has since removed that information. Fortunately, this was quickly spotted and captured by hardware leaker @momomo_us.
NVIDIA confirms that the RTX 4070 Ti is indeed a rebranded RTX 4080 12GB (the one and only “unlaunched” graphics card in NVIDIA graphics card history). This model is expected to have 7680 CUDA cores and a boost clock of up to 2,61 GHz. NVIDIA also confirms that this graphics card has 12GB of GDDR6X memory. All specs are the same as the RTX 4080 12GB.
NVIDIA also shares some performance claims, claiming to deliver up to 3,5x the performance of the RTX 3080 12GB in games such as Cyberpunk 2077. DLSS upscaling and not on raw rasterization performance.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is now slated for launch on January 5, at $799 in the US. However, since only custom models will be available, this recommended retail price might be short-lived.
