The 2 titles of SCS have just changed to 1.39. Sharing a common engine, the two games have seen their general interface evolve, making it possible, according to the developers, to welcome “future innovations”, with improved profile management.
New low bed trailers are now available in two versions - short and elongated - with a customizable chassis which may affect their suitability for heavy loads. You will now also be able to adjust and tune them with several new options such as colors, rear bumpers and banners, markers, lights, ramps, side guards, several side box versions / tools, beacons, flashes, mudguards… The list goes on!
The city of Calais reskinned on ETS2
Part of the development team dedicated to mapping took the time to give the city of Calais and the port a major makeover, giving it a fresh and up-to-date look in this 1.39. The biggest change you will notice is the way the port is now represented in the game. In reality, the Port of Calais is huge and the mapping team has worked hard to best reflect this reality. This newly recreated port will include new assets including gates, terminals, ferry ramps and fences.
The "points of view" for ATS
The release of the Idaho DLC for American Truck Simulator saw the introduction of a whole new feature that has not been placed in any other map version. 'Viewpoints' allow drivers to activate a special in-game 'cinematic' with a short highlight of a nearby location or place of interest such as an industry.
In addition to these few additions, the 2 games benefit from separate changelogs. You can find that ofETS2 here, and that ofATS there.
