The developers of Taxi Life announce major improvements to their game, still under development, in a recently published blog post. These updates will provide players with a more immersive and fun gaming experience.
Simteract keeps us in suspense every month with a post on the progress of the development of Taxi Life, the future taxi simulation in the city of Barcelona. Latest news from the front: bug fixes, and the integration of the first real gameplay elements, all illustrated by a few videos.
In the video above, we can see how players will be able to pick up and drop off their customers, via a system of markers on the ground.
The garage panel has been improved since the first presentations. It allows players to easily enter the garage, repair, refuel and clean their car, check car parameters and even buy a new one.
A skill system has been integrated into the game and allows players to obtain experience points to fill their skill tree.
Finally, Taxi Life is no longer a simple technological demo. The developers have added the basic menus which will allow players to change resolution, future graphics settings, audio, etc… and also to load savegames.
Finally, to finish, the developers have finished integrating the dirt and cleaning mechanics, as well as the charging stations for electric cars and traditional gas stations for all types of vehicles. A new car is also appearing (video above), fully functional with interior and exterior views. A collectible system is also in place, it allows players to earn additional XP.
