La Farmcon 21 was the opportunity to unveil a formidable tool, the Build Mode. It is the continuation of the landscape mode allowing to distort and paint the ground on FS 19. Except that on FS 22, we go further. Giants Software has just published a point-by-point recap of what constitutes the future toy of virtual farmers.
Farming Simulator 22 features an all-new and improved building mode, combining the landscaping already in place with the placeable item system. If you watched the FarmCon, you know what we're talking about: Build mode. Giants Software has apparently listened to comments on landscape mode, and overhauled the tool "To make it more user-friendly".
Build Mode comes as a reinforcement to production chains. These need to be able to place factories where the player wants them. Thus, you will now be able to switch between placing buildings (and objects), landscaping and removing buildings (and objects). Regarding landscaping and terrain sculpture, the developers announce that they have added new tools to modify the ground, without going into details for the moment.
You probably know already new crops in Farming Simulator 22. Grapes and olive trees must be planted and it is via the Build Mode that the player will be able to do it in a straight line. If you are more oriented towards breeding, it is once again with the Build Mode that you will build the fences and place your new enclosures and gates for entry into your plots.
Le Build mode has 5 tabs, in which you will find:
- Buildings : sheds, silos, extensions of silos, containers and tools, but also service points for vehicles or solar panels.
- Production : it contains all the buildings needed to start your production lines or earn you extra money in some other way. There are factories, outlets, greenhouses, orchards and generators.
- Pets : here you will find all the enclosures for your animals, of different shapes and sizes.
- Decoration : It contains fences, lights and more. A garden gnome to place? It's in this tab.
- Landscaping : You know it, it's the revamped Farming Simulator 19 tool. It also features the trees and plants in placeable. But what will remain for the mappers?
