The launch of Steam Deck is delayed for two months. Valve has just sent an email to people who have pre-ordered this "pocket PC". The platform says it is experiencing lead time issues in its global supply chain due to a shortage of materials, with components not arriving on time at manufacturing plants. The initial launch dates are therefore postponed.
"We have updated our manufacturing time estimates and believe that the first Steam Deck shipments should be able to be met in February 2022", this is the new start date of the queue for reservations. The first buyers keep their place in the queue, but the associated order dates will be shifted accordingly.
It will therefore be necessary to be patient to launch Farming Simulator 22 or Forza Horizon 5 under the duvet or on the train. For the moment, you can always re-read this short presentation of this luxury Switch.
