SQUARE ENIX has released a free playable demo for the highly anticipated action RPG Visions of Mana, the first mainline entry in the beloved Mana series in over 15 years. Players can now access the demo on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Microsoft Store and STEAM) to get a taste of what to expect before the game officially launches on August 29.
In the demo, players will embark on a journey that begins halfway through Chapter 1, starting in Rime Falls and continuing through different areas including the Fallow Steppe and Rhata Harbor. Those up for the challenge will also be able to face the final boss of the chapter, the Kraken. Players can join three party members, Val, Careena, and Morley, and experiment with the Wind and Moon classes to enhance their demo experience.
Although the demo save data cannot be transferred to the full game, as the content has been modified for a more satisfying experience, players with demo save data and purchasing Visions of Mana will receive three weapons for Val , including the Gladius, Falx, and Horned Spear, beginning their portion of the full game and continuing through Chapter 1.
Since the series launched in 1993 as MYSTIC QUEST, a spin-off of the FINAL FANTASY series, the Mana games have immersed players in bright and vibrant worlds, breathtaking environments, heartwarming characters and high fantasy scenarios across many genres and platforms. Building on 30 years of legacy, Mana series producer Masaru Oyamada and his team incorporate everything they've learned from the past 17 Mana games to ensure Visions of Mana is a faithful addition to the series that fans know and love, while giving fans and newcomers alike a completely new experience with an entirely new story, characters, and gameplay mechanics.
