It has been a long time since BeamNG.drive had an update. But the developers had not fallen asleep, and are coming back just before the holidays with an update full of features and improvements. Are you ready ?
We start with a remaster of the 1996 Ibishu Pessima
Still with a view to retyping the original range of vehicles, the developers this time looked at the Pessima. The 1996 Ibishu Pessima was until then one of the less content-rich vehicles with very little customization or even factory options, and its visual quality left something to be desired. With this remaster, the Pessima receives new 3D modeling with more details, improved proportions and textures. The jbeam structure is also reworked with better deformation during impact.

In addition to all this, the Pessima receives a large number of new parts: engine, transmission, sports body kit, spoilers, fender wideners, roll bar, racing subframes… This car is armed to meet all needs. our desires for destruction.
The Gavril H also has a makeover
The Gavril H-Series has also undergone a salutary redesign. This minivan received a new 3D model and shiny materials, in addition to a stack of new content, parts, new color options ... in short, a facelift to match the Pessima.
Full of accessories
The already well-supplied catalog, especially thanks to mods, accessories from beamNG.drive is further enriched with a few "trinkets": living room set, refrigerator, chair, television and cardboard boxes, the developers suggest you slip into the skin of a mover. Will you arrive whole, with the cargo, at your destination? Especially since the physics of the trailers has been revised for even more realism (more flexibility and better management of load physics).
PBR textures invade the decor
PBR textures, allowing vehicles to display realistic properties, are extended to the scenery. Roads, decals, and terrain on Jungle Rock Island, Utah, and Small Island maps are upgraded to PBR. Upgrading to physics-based rendering helps render the surroundings with more precision and detail than ever before, bringing even more realism and immersion to the driving experience. Just see the reflections of the headlights on the asphalt in the video below.

The missions follow in the footsteps of the scenarios
One cool new feature coming in this update is the mission system. Once the update is complete, you will be able to play the missions in free mode. Similar to Scenarios, missions can be started from a level and some missions can be customized before you start so you can customize your experience.
The types of missions available will include:

- "Long jump" on Utah,
- "Precision parking" on Italy and the east coast of the United States,
- "Drift" and "Gymkhana" on Italy and the west coast of the United States,
- "Arrival" in Italy.
You can also create your own missions using the mission editor. The editor is still under development, so it might not be perfectly stable, but you can use it to create new missions using existing mission types as a template. The developers have also started a major overhaul of the entire user interface with this version, in order to make this extraordinary simulation accessible to as many people as possible.

New links have been added to make it easy to test different forces and smoothings, in addition to other adjustments related to force feedback. It is advisable to adjust the FFB smoothing and strength parameters for the best results.
The audio part has not been forgotten with the addition of impacts on plastic, support for cooling fans, as well as the sounds and ambience of the user interface. The latter also supports German and Polish.
