Do you remember the Global Company on Farming Simulator 19? This script which already at the time brought production chains and much more. Farming Simulator 22 includes a simplified and more ergonomic version, but not as successful in terms of functionality. Production Revamp aims to correct the situation by adding a crazy number of little extras via a script compatible only with PC/Mac.
The mod, developed by Braeven and available on the modhub (at this address), has a complete guide, for player AND modder, of about fifty pages. Here is an adaptation to our sauce, in French.
What is Revamp?
Revamp aims to revamp the internal production system of Farming Simulator 22. It expands it and adds various functions to it. Revamp itself is the base script and already offers some nice options no matter what map you're using. Other of these options will have to be integrated into mods and maps by modders to be able to be used (such as operating hours, or even production chains that depend on the climate).
Overview of basic functions
Line break
Recipes that include more than 4 ingredients are automatically line-break for better readability.
Maximum storage capacity
In the production menu, the maximum storage capacity is displayed next to the current stock.
Alphabetical sorting
Productions are now sorted alphabetically in the production menu by their defined names.
Display of the recipe with a color code
Revamp gives recipes a color display, depending on whether inputs are available or not. The colors mean:
White – Input is available.
Red – The entry is not available and is required.
Orange – Entry is not present but is optional.
For the display to be updated, production must be enabled.
Goods purchase function
Entries for productions can be purchased through the production menu. There are 4 levels of selection: 1.000 units, 10.000 units, 100.000 units and maximum quantity. The purchase price here is multiplied by 2, so think before you buy. Certain goods can also be excluded from the purchase (it depends on the modder who makes the production chain).
Storage / Spawning
Revamp offers a new output mode: Store If "Store" is activated, no palette is automatically generated in production. To make it easier to distinguish, Storage mode has been renamed Build. In Generate mode, production independently generates pallets. In Sell mode, goods are automatically sold less a 10% commission (Giants standard). In the Distribution mode, the goods are delivered to the appropriate productions every full hour. There is a charge for this, depending on distance and quantity delivered (Giants standard).
Mixed recipes
For modders, Revamp allows creating recipes using mixed inputs. Each line represents a group. Only one input must be present in a group for the recipe to be executed. Mix groups can be recognized thanks to separator II.
Recipes with boosters
Boosters allow productions to produce more output. Boosters are optional starters and are not required to craft the recipe. If boosters are available, the production produces correspondingly more yield, for example 20% more. Boosters can stack, so 2 boosters of 20% and 30% add up to a 50% boost.
Generation script
Revamp allows you to manually generate pallets, bales and logs via the in-game menu or via the production chain trigger. This is limited to exit goods.
Distribution
Revamp modifies the distribution system: only the production lines ACTIVATED are supplied, according to their priority (see priority system).
Shipping costs
Delivery costs, which were previously hidden in production costs, are displayed by Revamp as a separate financial category. Delivery costs are calculated based on the quantity and the distance between the sender and the recipient.
priority system
Revamp introduces a priority system for incoming goods. Productions that are set to be distributed are sent to other productions according to the defined priority. It applies as follows:
- Priority 1: most important, first
- Priority 10: least important, last
- Disabled: This production does not receive any goods automatically.
Within a priority, the goods are distributed as before, so that all productions are supplied according to their free storage space. Productions must be activated to accept goods.
Filter function in the production menu
It is possible to go through different display filters in the production menu:
- All: All production lines are displayed
- Inactive: All inactive production lines are displayed
- Active: All active production lines are displayed
Correct units
Thanks to Revamp, the production overview now displays the defined units from the Filltypes.xml for the storages, for example: Electricity – instead of litre, kWh is now displayed. Methane – is displayed in kg instead of liters.
Settings
Various aspects of Revamp can be adjusted, set, or disabled through the in-game settings menu.
- Purchase Eligibility: Who can use the shopping feature in productions, if present.
- Priority : Disables Revamp's priority system. The goods are then again distributed as in the base game.
- MissionsFix : Fixes an issue when productions are used as a mission objective.
- Purchase Price Correction: Revamp adjusts buy prices at Buy Stations based on difficulty level, without Revamp these are the same for all difficulty levels, leading to balance issues.
- Distribution cost factor : Can be adjusted here. If the value is set to 0, these costs are no longer collected (there are no more delivery costs)
- Direct sales: Here you can change the factor that is applied to goods sold directly by productions.
Functions still unused
Production Revamp allows you to go even further. Modders can also add to their production chain the possibility of operating according to climatic conditions (wind, rain, sunshine, temperatures), or predefined schedules.
A guide for modders
A guide of around fifty pages, regularly updated, is available on the developer's Google Drive, at this address. I prefer to provide you with the link rather than a translation, because this document is evolving and it is better to consult it when you are going to start your "Production Line" mod or your Production Revamp compatible map.
