Have you ever been out at night? If you live in a city, there is a good chance that you could have walked without problem as the current light pollution provides enough light. The quality of the human eye does the rest. But in our open countryside, it is another matter. Going out at midnight in the middle of winter when you live in Saint-Trimoël is absolutely impossible without a headlamp, unless the moon puts a grain of salt.
In Farming Simulator 17, and even before, at night, the engine leaves a trickle of light, a night light. So much so that it is almost possible to work in the field without lighting if your monitor is set to high light.
By modifying the value of this ambient lighting, the Real Nights mod brings that nocturnal realism that was lacking in the title of Giants Software. The city center then takes on another dimension, close to the “by night” captures of Farming Simulator 19.
If you want to get as close as possible to a realistic environment, in addition to the terrain and seasonal distortion mods, Real Nights is a must-have that we can not do without. For the others, go your way, because playing at night brings a real additional constraint.
