Little but strong. This is the motto that sticks to the skin of this Atlas 160 W excavator offered by SurfDuck Modding. With a reduced size, it has a lot of extraordinary features.
SurfDuck Modding, if you do practical work on Farming Simulator this name is no stranger to you, since it is undoubtedly one of the most active modders in practical work. And that's good, the RicciVille map recently tested has a huge quarry just waiting to be dug.
The Atlas 160 W is a compact 143 hp excavator that has generous ground clearance to go almost anywhere. In practice, Farming Simulator collisions quite regularly block the machine in its movements, but hey, let's move on. Very well done, the machine has 2 cameras in the cabin, and one outside. Nothing on the arm. It has an impressive number of options: front and rear stabilizer, railway adaptation, rotating beacons galore, a very wide choice of tires, cabin protections, choice of colors… in short, nothing is left to chance.
To accompany the tool, a very complete pack of Engcon brand buckets, grippers, and tiltrotator is provided. You are less alone to attack the site. A blade is also offered as a separate mod. In total you will need to download 3 files to fully benefit from the lab.
In use, how to say ... it's complicated. Especially for a TP novice like me. There are so many combinations to know to handle the arm, the bucket, the pivoting cab, the door, etc… that we get lost. You juggle constantly with the G key on the keyboard to switch from one tool to another, it's tricky and you really have to be a construction enthusiast to get used to it without giving up. Personally, it took me 30 minutes to start to feel comfortable. Anyway, we are not going to reproach this mod for being complete and realistic, that would be a shame.
A very good job that deserves our attention!
