Well known from the previous episode, the Sandy Bay map of the modder Oxygendavid returns in an unchanged version on Farming Simulator 19. And we would have been fine.
Always in the game of who will release his map faster than the others, today we have Oxygendavid, a promising modder who returns to his famous map who gets his map stolen Sandy Bay to integrate it into the new Farming. If you don't know the map, I invite you watch this video Gwendal who presented the map at the beginning of 2017.
This menu was original at the time, with a decor directly taken from the English coast, which, 2 years ago, stood out a bit. But now a lot of water has flowed under the bridges and Ravenport has appeared with a much more heavenly decor. Sandy Bay is now just a shadow of itself. So has the modder managed to outclass his map with this new edition? Nay! The map has even taken a lead in the wing, displaying textures worthy of a "Wolfenstein 3D under MSDOS". Forgive me the expression, but what about a textured house… in solid gold? Or an element of decoration which one cannot even read the written texts? When in the heavenly place, the Giants Engine 8 does not work miracles. The water is stale, the sand repetitive, and the cliffs display a post-apocalyptic texture without a hint of greenery. For the rest, the plots are standard sizes, neither too big nor too small.
A little comfort
I must admit that testing maps on FS 19 is not a piece of cake at the moment. The game barely started, staying on this type of map requires a minimum of self-control not to scream in despair. To end on a positive note, the modder Oxygendavid, who got this map stolen, has obviously started a new project, from scratch this time, that you can follow on his Facebook page. A map in the name of "Marwell Manor Farm" is revealed little by little, and there, it makes you want.
