Since its release in early September, Train Sim World 3 has only welcomed DLCs from its predecessors. But at the end of November and beginning of December, 2 routes specific to this version of the game were created: Birmingham Cross-City Line and Bahnstrecke Bremen – Oldenburg.
Birmingham Cross-City Line: Lichfield–Bromsgrove & Redditch Route Add-On
"Drive to Brum!" Ride on a unique modern train from Great Britain, experience heavy commuter traffic and explore the West Midlands and the famous Lickey Incline » indicates the Steam profile of this DLC rather badly evaluated by the community. On our side, it's always the same story. Not having the DLC in our hands, it is impossible for us to form an opinion on it. Nevertheless, the screenshots are not very flattering at first glance.
You will take the controls of a West Midlands Railway BR Class 323, a machine " fast " designed by the Hunslet Company, a veteran motor power company founded in the 1860s.
“In the latest West Midlands Railway livery, the BR Class 323 is the exclusive driving force of the Cross-City Line. This unit operates frequent services between Lichfield Trent Valley, Four Oaks and Birmingham New Street, then to both destinations south of Redditch, and since 2018 runs to Bromsgrove at the foot of the famous Lickey Incline, the mainline railway line with the steepest slope in the UK. »
A 60km route from Lichfield Trent Valley to Redditch and Bromsgrove awaits. DLC-specific tutorials are available in the Training Center.
Bahnstrecke Bremen – Oldenburg Route Add-On
Head to Northern Germany with this DLC which offers freight and passenger transport missions at the controls of a DB BR 110.3 and a PRESS BR 155.
“The Bahnstrecke Bremen – Oldenburg line is shown as it was in the late 2000s, before it became part of the Bremen S-Bahn, thus recreating services and rolling stock that no longer exist. Finally, take the imposing “Rollklappbrücke” of Oldenburg, a drawbridge crossing the Hunte which rises and lowers to allow the passage of trains and barges” indicated the Steam sheet for this DLC released on December 6, also poorly rated by the community at the moment. Here again, we cannot form an opinion of the 6 scenarios and the 44 km of rails, Dovetail Games not having wished to provide us with this extension for testing purposes.
These 2 DLCs are sold at €35,99.
