The Asus brand organized an event in mid-April to present its new gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. These two models replace the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro and are intended for gamers looking for a powerful smartphone without compromising on battery life. They are equipped with the AeroActive Portal cooling hatch to attenuate the heat produced by the internal components.
Both smartphones are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with LPDDR5X format RAM and UFS 4.0 standard storage memory. They have sensitive AirTrigger keys (triggers) to improve the gaming experience. ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate are Wi-Fi 6E compatible, but can switch to Wi-Fi 7 as soon as the update is available. Their 6,78-inch HDR10+-capable AMOLED display supporting up to 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate deliver an uncompromising gaming experience. The ROG Phone 7 has a 50-megapixel main photo sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8-megapixel macro sensor.
The ROG Phone 7 is available at a price of 1029 € in black or white. The ROG Phone 7 16+512 GB version is offered at a price of 1199 €. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is available for €1429 with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, only in white and comes with the cooling accessory AeroActive Cooler 7. Both models are IP54 certified and are powered by Android 13 with a software overlay. Asus promises 2 years of Android updates.
