A few weeks ago, there were literally thousands of us drooling in front of our screens when we discovered the trailer for the all new Farming Simulator 22. Of course it's good to remember that these are not images from the game, but pre-calculated 3D. And, with great pride, it is a French studio well known in game cinematics which is behind this beautiful story of almost 3 minutes entitled " It's a calling"
No, Farming Simulator trailers are not created by Giants Software. Moreover, few development studios can produce such videos. Capsule, it's its little name, is a 3D animation studio based in Paris. This is really behind this crazy trailer but also the previous ones for Farming Simulator 19.
We have contacted them and we can already tell you that we will come back later in an interview with the 2 founders, Mhamed Elmezoued and Stéphane Montel. Giants Software reserves the priority and will also present the studio at the farmcon end of July.
Founded in 2016, the French quickly made a place for themselves in the world of video games, and we will remember the incredible realism of the cutscenes of The Surge. They also work in the world of advertising and short films with advertising spots for AG Insurance or even McDonalds. Because CGI trailers are above all an essential communication tool on the marketing plan: they are there to catch the eye. They make it possible to set a scene, a universe, to announce features, to teaser while the game is still in development. Storytelling is the key word and the FS 22 trailer proves it once again.
Capsule Studio does not stop only with trailers elsewhere. For At Plague Tale, it is more than 30 minutes of cutscenes that you will find in game and which punctuate certain stages of the story. For Stéphane Montel, interviewed by jeuxvideo.com last March, “The approach is however different for these scenes which are more like short films than advertisements. There is not the marketing side to pass. "
See you Wednesday July 21 on Giants Software's Youtube and Twitch channels during Farmcon since the day's program announces a " Cinematic Trailer: Behind the Scenes". The developers will surely talk a little more about how they collaborated with Capsule for this achievement.
