You probably know Jeremy Clarkson, the former star host of Top Gear and now The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime. A few years ago, he was able to acquire a 400 hectare farm in the heart of England. The manager of the latter having retired, he decided to embark on the adventure by replacing him, quite simply!
In this reality TV series of 8 episodes of 40 minutes each with a realization worthy of the Grand Tour for superb images and a narration putting you in direct contact with the many difficulties that will present themselves to our beginner farmer, you will find the charm English countryside and quintessentially British humor. You can trust Jeremy to approach all subjects in his own way, with his eyes of lovers of beautiful mechanics but discovering the world of agricultural machinery.
Guess the choice of the farm's lead tractor?
When he goes to the local dealership, he offers him this authentic pre-owned Massey Ferguson.
You can imagine that he is somewhat disappointed and that he is looking for a machine - how to say - more manly ... He will end up going to Germany to afford a representative of a brand that he knows very well in the automobile industry. : A Lamborghini R8
We will let you discover over the episodes all the adventures he will have to face in this environment where this monster is comparable to an elephant in a porcelain store.
The whole series is eaten with a smile and we like to watch its main protagonist for example being pulled up by his staff (not really reassured about the success of the project), wondering what the use of all the tools to harness with a tractor or even trying to drive a flock of sheep without a sheepdog (but with an unorthodox method based on drones).
And in Farming Simulator?
If you want to relive a small part of the experience in Farming Simulator, know that there are many English maps on the Modhub but we recommend one that comes close enough to the spirit of the series: Six Ashes
And of course, for the experience to be complete, opt for a Lamborghini !
We unfortunately did not find an R8, but this R7 is still damn close.
