Climber: Sky is the Limit is a unique game combining survival and simulation genres. It will be available on PC and consoles in 2021. This climbing simulator will challenge you on the highest peaks in the world. The developer, Art Games Studio, is focused on realism and will try to offer diverse gameplay.
Polish Art Games Studio adds a new title to its catalog. Climber: Sky is the Limit will be a mountain climbing simulator that combines survival features and various exciting elements of a mountain expedition. The main objective is to conquer ever higher and more difficult peaks, all over the world. In the list of available mountains, we will find in particular Mount Everest, Broad Peak and K2.
“In our game, we want to introduce the fascinating passion of rock climbing by focusing on realism and the precise mapping of elements that can affect the trek. While working on the game, we consulted with expert climbers ”, announces Jakub Bąk, CEO of Art Games Studio SA
The developers point out that this new-genre simulation focuses on single-player gameplay, covering not only conquering mountains but also the entire process of planning an expedition. Each peak differs in difficulty and presents specific challenges (like avalanches, steep cliffs, etc.). The game will also include financial aspects like raising funds for each expedition and purchasing the appropriate equipment and food. Random events like unforeseen weather conditions and crevice removal add variety and extra life to the game.
“Climbing is only one aspect of the game. The second includes all the other elements that influence the success of the summit. In Climber: Sky is the Limit, you will need to consider a whole host of aspects, including strength recovery, proper nutrition, and body temperature. This game will appeal to climbing enthusiasts and casual players without any climbing experience ”, explains Andrzej Stroiński, CEO of A2 Softworks.
As Art Games Studio announced, Climber: Sky is the Limit will appear on PC (Steam) in the first half of 2021. It is also planned for the Nintendo Switch, Sony and Microsoft consoles.
