Marlon, alias En3rgy5, and his team continue to advance Kingmods.net. And the self-proclaimed king has just added 2 new features that are quite nice on paper: Packs and WIPs. There is no doubt that the community will appropriate these 2 tools very quickly.
Modding above all
Kingmods has become over time an almost essential tool for French modders. And the site adds a new function that will allow them to communicate even more during the creation phases of a mod: WIP (Work In Progress).
Step by step, the creators can now inform, via a complete form, supporting illustrations, of the progress of a project. Via the WIP tab in the menu bar at the top, you can already discover the mods being designed. It is a double-edged sword. Some modders, including myself, prefer to keep a minimum of secrecy in order to reveal, towards the end of the project, the arrival of a new mod.
The packs, a tool for everyone
The packs are a great new feature. It allows you to group together several mod sheets in order to share them with your friends or your community. Convenient. The tool has a form that allows, during creation, to upload a save of your game. And this is where Kingmods.net differentiates itself. Whether you are a modder, or a simple player, you will be able to pass on the deformations of land carried out with the landscape tool of Farming Simulator 19 to others. Because it is not possible to export this data in any other way than 'by directly sharing your backup file. Enough to open the doors to easy modding for players who do not want to touch the Giants Editor.
Registration required
Only downside to be able to publish using these 2 new features, registration and connection, which both become mandatory. If we can understand for the Work In Progress part, the Pack component could have worked without. Moreover, these developments are welcome at a time when the competition is lowering its arms and faltering like Modhoster.com which is visibly ending its career… but not in style.
