To cultivate in Farming Simulator 17, nothing could be simpler, and simulation requires, the actions to be carried out are very close to reality. The game offers 11 types of crops (the publisher announces 10…): wheat, barley, rapeseed, soybeans, potatoes, sugar beet (why not a fodder?), Oilseed radishes, sunflower, corn, grass and finally, for forestry, poplars.
Your dealer friend will help you in your work with a list of more than 200 materials available at the release of the game. It is also a safe bet that with the "mods" to come, you will be able to recreate your real machine park. in the game as the list grows day by day.
Three key steps mandatory and unchanged
Whether it is to feed your animals, put on the market or reuse your farm seeds, you must go through 3 steps to cultivate your field from A to Z:
- Work your soil: no no tillage in Farming. After a crop, we do a deep cleaning please, passage of the cultivator or the plow obligatory… this is a point that will have to be improved in the next versions.
- Semer : once again no direct seeding.
- To harvest.
2 optional steps are added to this cycle: fertilization, whether chemical (liquid or solid fertilizer) or organic (slurry), and weeding with a weeder (2 models are available and the interest is limited).
