The YouTuber "En3rgie5" released a crystal ball last week to share with us in a video any new features on Farming Simulator 2019, while returning to the article I wrote at the beginning of the year, shortly before the release of FS 18 on the portable platforms PSVITA and 3DS. I offer a short analysis of this video by taking a few quotes from the youtubeur.
"VR will not be on Farming Simulator 19"
I was talking globally, via an update to FS17 for example, FS19 does not appear in my question. Otherwise, know that in our digital lab, FS 17 is running today with an Oculus Rift and even an HTV Vive wonderfully. Combined with the Saitek steering wheel, we really enjoy it, even if it takes time to adapt to many buttons on the steering wheel.
As for the side "Disgusting" which is referred to when the youtubeur talks about my first test on GearVR, I would say no, on the contrary. Immersion in the FS universe was a great experience, powered by Nvidia techs with the very high resolution of a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +.
"Add a donation button for mods"
The reflection is commendable. But here we are going into something that could harm the Farming ecosystem with modders who would produce shoddy content en masse. It is also complicated to pay someone who copies a model of a tractor without the prior permission of the manufacturer. And then it's still a game ...
"80% of the people who buy the game are not farmers"
We can without hesitation remove the negation of this quote 🙂 The Brittany region, strongly agricultural, is the region which propels the game in France.
"Giants would be afraid of the competition"
Regarding Cattle and Crops, Giants Software is just "keeping an eye on the title". They only do a job of competitive intelligence. What's more normal. But, having recent version of Cattle and Crops, I think that at Giant Software, they sleep on their two ears ...
"FS 19, it is going to be good just because they are going to put it all in"
A publisher like Focus and a development team like the one put together by Giants Software for Farming Simulator produce great quality games where little is left to chance. They always go all out. You just have to see the evolution of the title since its first version in 2008.
The final word
Regarding the release of FS 19: yes development is well underway, but no need to wait for E3 in June to find out more ... just come back before next summer on universe-simu.com. Regarding the new maps, nothing will be revealed here because, you never know, the information could be reproduced on the Youtube channels… A good hearer 😉
