GIANTS Software, developer and publisher of the famous series Farming Simulator, announced the release of Farming Simulator 25 for the November 12. This new opus promises to bring a dose of new products andtechnical improvements, thus expanding the possibilities offered to players. Available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game will include new crops, new animals, three diverse maps, as well as significant graphical improvements.
Three new environments
Farming Simulator 25 introduces three new diverse maps, offering players a variety of landscapes:
- East Asian Landscape : A lush setting filled with Paddy fields. This card is specially designed for rice cultivation, requiring theflooding of fields for optimal production.
- Environment North American : With its vast open expanses, this map is ideal for players looking to build an agricultural empire on malls. Will we see some sort of No Man's Land ? (edit: the map is visible in this article)
- Central Europe : A landscape “picturesque with green fields between ponds and rivers”, perfect for a more traditional agricultural operation. No specific country has yet been announced.
New crops and livestock
Farming Simulator 25 enriches the catalog of crops and animals available. Farmers will now be able to cultivate two types of rice (flooded rice and mountain rice?) and spinach (that's good, OXBO has harvesters for this crop), among other new crops, bringing the total to over 20 different crops (17 currently in FS 22). These additions increase the possibilities for crop rotation and farm diversification.
With regard to breeding, buffalo join the ranks of farm animals, alongside cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and horses.
Construction missions
In addition to traditional agricultural activities, Farming Simulator 25 takes up the concept introduced with the Farming Simulator 22 Platinum DLC : construction missions. These missions allow players to expand gameplay and increase their grip on the landscape by constructing new buildings and infrastructure.
More than 400 machines and tools
The game includes an impressive set of over 400 machines and tools from over 150 renowned international brands such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Valtra. This equipment covers all aspects of agriculture, forestry and ranching, giving players a full range of tools to efficiently manage their farms.
In the visuals above, we can see some new features:
- The official arrival of MacDon with the self-propelled M1 series (here the M1240 windrower), and the R216 SP mower-conditioner.
- The seeder MZURI with four hoppers Pro-Til 4TX
- The new Case-IH AF11 with double rotor (destined for the North American market), and its wide width cut in 3 parts.
- The CLAAS Xerion 12.650 (on which we can see a towing cable…)
- The ISEKI planter PRJ8DZ-E16, for growing rice, seen in the trailer
- A trail Aprilia RX125, to go monitor your fields (the Husqvarna motorcycle on FS 22 is the most downloaded mod).
Giants Engine 10: Technological and graphical improvements
Farming Simulator 25 gets a tech upgrade thanks to the engine GIANTS Engine 10, bringing significant improvements to the game's graphics and physics. New features include:
- Brouillard realistic distance
- Shadows improved
- Effects dynamic weather
- Deformation realistic of the ground (curiously not visible on the first ingame captures)
- We also note, on the in-game visuals, a depth of field quite marked, putting more value on the material.
These visual and physical improvements increase immersion and make the gaming experience more authentic.
Exclusive Collector's Edition
For enthusiasts, a exclusive collector's edition for PC will be available. This edition includes a bootable USB stick for the in-game tractors, a version inspired by the Mega Drive (after version C64), and a soundtrack CD with 15 original tracks from Chris Huelsbeck.
Season Pass 1 DLCs already announced (but it's up to you to find)
Like the Farming Simulator 22 announcements, a visual, provided by Giants Software, reveals (or not) the content of the Year 1 Season Pass for Farming Simulator 25. One DLC per quarter. The first pack will be “innovative machines”. The second “Plains and Meadows” pack will undoubtedly include equipment dedicated to fodder production. The 3rd “mystery” pack, whose pictogram suggests a DLC around tillage, could be the pack SKY AGRICULTURE, since Giants invites us to look towards the sky (Sky) to see the alignment of the stars (The Stars Align). Finally, the 4th DLC will be a complete environment, the visual of which shows a small old farm surrounded by stone walls.
Farming Simulator 25 promises to be a smooth evolution of the series, offering new possibilities for crops, livestock and farm management. Players will be able to enjoy a more diverse experience thanks to the new features introduced. With a release scheduled for November 12, pre-orders are already open.
