Excellent news for fans of the high seas: Fishing: Barents Sea arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on December 10, 2019. This complete edition includes the 2 DLCs already available.
We received it earlier this week on Nintendo Switch and we were really surprised by the optimization work done by Misc Games. The game is perfectly fluid AND graphically elaborate on the Nintendo console. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are not left out and the visual aspect is similar to what we see on high-end PCs. We can only salute this portage.
If you don't know Fishing Barents Sea yet…
The Fishing: Barents Sea - Complete Edition takes you to the icy coasts of northern Norway aboard a fishing boat. On a realistic and expansive map - covering the area around the well-known Hammerfest fishing port - players first stock up on bait before heading out to fish in sometimes calm and sometimes very rough seas. They will encounter many AI-controlled ships and boats.
More than 12 boats and vessels with various characteristics and fishing methods are available. After mastering the art of longline fishing, players can move on to netting before trying their hand at supreme trawling discipline aboard the game's largest vessel, the Hermes Trawler. The game offers fishing for 5 species of fish, and recently, king crab fishing. Of course you are not alone in this adventure and it is possible to hire new crew members.
This is the main plot of the gameplay. For the rest, Fishing Barents Sea is a calm game, seductive, and providing hours and hours of play before you can control the bigger ships. The PC version was released in mid-2018. The console versions land this December.
