Update of 10/09/2019: addition of a paragraph "Crash following an update"
What a puzzle! Have you just purchased Farming Simulator 19 and the game won't launch even after recent updates released by the development team? Here are the first leads from the Giants Software forum that explain this problem when the game is launched.
On PC, due to the countless number of hardware possibilities, errors at launch can be multiple. At first glance, too many graphics cards and USB devices are the main sources of the problem. Here are some avenues to check to put the odds in your favor.
- Do you have a graphics card supported by the game? So check the minimum requirement as a lot of gamers try to run the game with outdated graphics card. I remind you of the minimum configuration: Operating system and 64-bit processor required - Processor : Intel Core i3-2100T @ 2.5GHz or AMD FX-4100 @ 3.6 GHz - 4 GB of random access memory (RAM) - Nvidia Geforce GTX 650, AMD Radeon HD 7770 with 2 GB VRAM and DirectX11 support - Disk space: 20 GB available disk space.
- Are you up to date? If you are on Steam, no problem, the game updates itself. If you have a DVD version, download the latest update here: https://www.farming-simulator.com/updates.php
- Are your graphics card drivers up to date?
- For an nvidia card, it's here: https://www.nvidia.fr/Download/index.aspx?lang=fr
- For an AMD card, it's here: https://www.amd.com/fr/support
- Do you have an integrated Intel graphics card? Forget it, it won't work
- Delete the "Farming Simulator 19" directory in "My Documents / My Games" (remember to make a backup before because this directory contains your backups)
- Disconnect all your peripherals except keyboard and mouse. Delete the "inputbinding xml" file from the "Farming Simulator 19" directory in "My Documents / My Games"
- If it still doesn't work, you can send me your "log.txt" file from the "Farming Simulator 19" directory in "My Documents / My Games" by message on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/simulagri/
Crash following an update
Are your pilots up to date? The game was working fine, but since the last update the game has stopped working? Don't panic, this is a problem that we encounter very often. In 99% of cases, it is sufficient to delete the "Shader_Cache" directory which is located in the "\ My Documents \ My Games \ FarmingSimulator2019" folder. Once in the trash, relaunch the game, and relax.
