Want a radical change in the look of your PC? Why not do it…print!? France is able to do it on plastic, metal, glass, in short everything that makes up your PC. For a hundred euros, here you are with a unique PC, in your image. I present to you the latest box from the editorial staff, after a complete crack on the game Death Stranding by Hideo Kojima. The result is well beyond our expectations.
Cokitec contacted us recently to present a new product from the company specializing in printing. Already known and recognized for the personalization of cell phone cases and covers, the company, located in the south of France, is now going further, and in a market where, in our country, no one to our knowledge is yet gone: the impression of a PC case.
Of course, this is not a classic print as you could do with your office printer, but a uv printing. This technique allows in particular a fast, precise and solid fixing on almost all types of supports. The result is there: on the box received, a Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB with 2 tempered glass fronts, the surface covering is total.
With a good resolution (4k), it is impossible to see the printing point or the slightest pixel composing the images provided to Cokitec. In our case, the glass loses its transparency, but the printer tells us that it can manage it if the files included an alpha layer (in PNG format for example). The ventilation grille on the top of the case, despite its perforations, also reveals a rendering that leaves you speechless.
A quick color work had been done upstream on Adobe Photoshop, and the colorimetry was particularly respected. The rendering has good saturation and a high level of contrast. For the layout, Cokitec provides, when buying the box on its site, an intuitive interface to place the images as you wish. In addition to the boxes offered, the company can, on contact and after quote, customize your own case. In this case, it is necessary to count between 100 and 150 euros for the printing alone (compared to 300 euros for our Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB, sold 160 euros new on the manufacturer's website)
In short, the final word is that the box once received pleasantly surprised us. The price displayed for obtaining unique and totally personalized equipment is correct. Note that this process is not incompatible with the offer from EmiSphere that we had already presented, namely the sandblasting of the glass parts.
