A difficult start. This is how one could qualify the launch of a Bus Simulator 21 which had some youthful flaws. The first hotfixes addressed the most urgent, such as the steering wheel which turned in the wrong direction on certain vehicles. But the developers preferred to list all the major bugs encountered by the players in order to provide only one big update. It arrived a few days ago on consoles and now on PC.
You can view the full changelog on the Bus Simulator 21 website. Here is a recap of the main bugs fixed:
- Fixed the issue of corrupted backups. Obviously, this was a permission issue on the save files. By the way, the game now creates several save sets. Thus, if a save is corrupted, Bus Simulator will load a backup.
- Fixed game crash during tutorial, mostly reported on PS4
- On PC, added option to reset controls to default in controls menu (this does not include steering wheel settings)
- Validating a "Perfect Stop Position", when the bus kneels, should now be more consistent (previously, the bus kneeling often prevented this from happening)
- NPC pilots will now disappear when unable to walk to their seat to prevent them from blocking the view in the bus cockpit
- Passengers no longer suddenly appear on the bus if another player is driving the bus or if the bus is not on a route
- When picking up a bus from the depot, it no longer appears with passengers and puts you directly in the driver's seat
- Fixed a bug where the length and duration of a route was not calculated correctly
- Player is now assigned the correct route when joining a convoy
- Improved the stability of the rear part of articulated buses in multiplayer
- Several improvements on the buses, whether physics, lights, windshield wipers, ...
- Maps have been improved. Objects that were hovering in the air have now come down to earth 🙂 Script problems on some missions have been revised and memory usage is optimized.
- For PC players: the developers are aware of a bug concerning the saving of the steering wheel settings. This bug causes these settings to be deleted and prevents you from creating new key assignments. If this happens, you will notice that the menu for assigning commands simply closes, causing the game to not respond to any input. This situation can be resolved by deleting the "InputPreset.sav" file at the following location: C: \ Users \ [UserName] \ AppData \ Local \ BusSimulator21 \ Saved \ SaveGames \. A fix to resolve this issue will be released soon.
On our side, the game is over!
We have not thatched, and have not encountered almost any of the bugs mentioned above. At three, the company Univers-Simu came to the end of many missions, after nearly a hundred hours of play (at 3, or 30h + 30h + 40h). The final mission was the subject of a live on Youtube:
