Cattle and Crops, the Arlesian of agricultural simulation, has just undergone 2 consecutive updates. The first, the 0.9.8.2, sorry, further improves the graphics quality and the sound environment. Don't expect miracles though. This polishing update only gives a slightly more contrasted image and richer environments thanks to a massive addition of vegetation.
On paper, the extended changelog promises, once is not custom, mountains and wonders. In the game, we quickly become disillusioned and despite the addition of trees and grass, the landscape remains poor. This update unfortunately does not bring any more deep features and the game in version 1.0, expected for September, should be very (too) close to the current version. All the dreams of multiplayer, modding, new builders from the latest partnerships, have flown off one after the other and Cattle and Crops risks keeping only his terrain physics and his very efficient workers to himself. The rest are already at least 2 years old.
In recent days, the game has finally spoken French. But the translations, if they are correct, hardly suit the interface which you menu entries to pass on several lines. In short, it is neglected and we do not really know what to expect from this game, which, if it is not followed by its community, risks ending up in oblivion… except for a last minute turnaround.
