It's been 5 days since TML Studios released its Belgium DLC for “Fernbus Simulator”. The developers told us that the extension would add 3.068 km² and the addition of 4 new cities (Brussels, Antwerp, Charleroi and Ghent).
We therefore took 5 days to drive on the roads of the kingdom and the results are rather positive, but there are small gaps. Word of Belgian. The architecture of each city reflects reality very well. The map remains at the scale of the other countries, so you will need +/- 40 min for the "Charleroi, Gant, Antwerp and BXL" circuit. But where the other countries are recognizable on the map with cities in each corner, Belgium, on the other hand, is rather represented on a central point.
Liège would have had its place to join Germany, Arlon for Luxembourg and perhaps Mons or Tournai could have linked the North of France (Lille). With only 4 cities, it gives the impression of an incomplete DLC. Because this extension is only a card. Don't wait for new buses, or new gameplay.
Fernbus update 28 paved the way
In parallel with the release of the Belgium DLC, TML Studios has released update 28. This update brings a large number of fixes and prepares your game to welcome the expansion. One of the biggest improvements according to the developers is the lighting system (sun, moon, street lighting, etc.). But in the game, it is very difficult to form an opinion and perceive the difference. The physics of the buses have been revised, and the rain is finally no longer falling on the buses. No need for an umbrella anymore 🙂
