The Precision Farming mod made its debut last December. We had dedicated a complete article to it for a first grip. It is part of a long-term project that will allow the player to work more precisely and reduce the cost of production and environmental footprint on his virtual farm. Remember that this module, developed by Giants Software, is free on the official modhub.
Will it be present again on Farming Simulator 22? Yes of course. Features from the initial releases such as soil types, sampling, variable rate fertilizer applications, and economic analyzes will reform the basics, but developers announce they will go much further. Thus the latest precision technologies will be integrated, starting with optical sensors which will allow reduced application of the herbicide as well as organic and mineral fertilizers. VertexDezign had already integrated the Claas Crop Sensor there is little, and it is good of this kind of sensor that we are talking about here. The uses will be more varied than the simple soil analysis which is practiced today.
Without giving a precise date, Giants Software announces the availability of Precision Farming for FS 22 as of next spring. We'll find out more at Farmcon.
