Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive have just published their community update to talk about future updates to the franchise.
A few days after the end of the test server and the release of Update 5, the developers continue to debug SnowRunner. The PS4 version is in the crosshairs. The latest update resulted in a degradation of visual quality. The fault has a little too much optimization in the management of the memory and the loading of the textures. It must be said that the current generation of consoles is already blowing its 7th birthday, and that running SnowRunner, and its sharp physics, is a difficult task. The next console update will therefore focus on restoring performance but also on supporting the Logitech G29 and G920 steering wheels on these platforms.
The test server returns
For PC players, the beta test server will become active again with a preview of the future update. In addition to various and varied fixes, it is above all a new editor that will appear. Finally, it will offer the possibility of creating maps and vehicles. It is a first draft, and it will be necessary to wait again before being able to add missions and tasks as on the basic environments of the game. Modders can however begin to undertake their creation.
Season Pass Stage 1
Focus and Saber announced it before the game itself was launched. 4 updates, called “Phase”, are already planned for SnowRunner. And this first phase is on track. New map (under the snow), new vehicles, new tasks, you must have the Season Pass or the Premium edition to benefit from it. Saber specifies, however, that in multiplayer, players without a Season Pass will be able to play in co-op with a friend who has access to it.
