SimulaM and PlayWay offer their vision of survival on the moon with Moon Farming Le Proloque, a space farming game in which the player takes control of a base and must "farm" to produce what he needs. Simplified, the approach remains original and the prologue, a little pompous at times, still allows to discover a game quite unique and full of humor.
Who has not dreamed of getting up with a view of the earth? To be possible, there is no choice but to live in the ISS or on the moon. Our natural satellite has been the center of attention lately with the Artemis program which provides for the return of man to the moon in 2024. Therefore, we can already imagine colonizing the small planet. But how do you survive it?
Moon Farming offers a simple, survival-mode approach to how mankind could squat that big boulder. In this game, you are alone, freshly disembarked aboard a Space X Crew Dragon capsule, with the remains of an old base. Using a few tools, the traditional ice ax, hammer, and torch, you will collect the raw materials needed for construction (silicon, metals, glass). On site, you will already find some seeds left by the previous missions: tomatoes, carrots, salads, or even eggplants, your assistant tells you, not without humor, the first lunar vegan.
To produce your plants, you have to create a support and above all extract water, because yes, there is water on the moon. Your station is capable, after some modifications, of producing energy, drinking water, and oxygen (from the water). You are ready to live until the end of your days on the little gray planet. The prologue, free, will occupy you a few hours, while the final release date of Moon Farming has not yet been announced.
