This Friday the 13th was not a bad day, quite the contrary. We have seen the release of update 0.0.9.5 which introduces a major novelty: cattle breeding. In this case bulls (yes if it shows believe me). As usual, the editor makes us discover the functionality through a mission.
You can now buy, sell, transport and feed your bulls. The Strautmann Verti-Mix 1801 Double mixer wagon is provided for the occasion, as well as a Typ S bucket from Bressel and Lade which fits the Claas FL-100 front loader.
Bulls and cattle truck
We start the mission by buying a few bulls. A dedicated menu displays a list of bulls available for purchase. Each animal has its own characteristics: Name, age, weight, sex, state of health, and price.
If it is possible to have the herd delivered directly to the building, the mission suggests that you pick up your animals from the merchant. A livestock trailer a Joskin Betimax RDS 9000 is made available. After a few not very ergonomic loading and unloading operations, you have a few animals to feed. Direction the previously packed silo where the tractor with bucket and mixer await you.
And that's when I said to myself that, as much on PC the game allowed to spread the controls on a good number of keys, as much on consoles it will quickly become complicated. I had a little trouble managing the bucket other than through the small side interface that controls all the equipment.
Loading the mixer is no more complicated than in Farming Simulator. Once full, all you have to do is go to the barn to unload it… logical. The demo ends by speeding up time, giving way to a magnificent play of light.
In the changelog
The changelog also mentions some optimizations of the graphics engine (it paddles a little less), but also the possibility of employing a worker to control the forage harvester, giving you the possibility of being in the back with the trailer. Regarding animals, it should be noted that nothing is set in stone and that the bulls' animations are still in their infancy.
