While Paris Games Week closed its doors last night, this 9th edition is the meeting place for all video game enthusiasts regardless of their age or their gaming experience.
For 5 days, 316 visitors walked through the 000m80 of exhibition space in a festive and friendly atmosphere, specific to video game enthusiasts. For a week, communities, families, industry talents and the entire video game ecosystem gathered at Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles to highlight the incredible diversity of the sector.
All facets of video games united at PGW
Video games are today a global hobby that affects millions of people: women, men, children, seniors, parents, etc. In 2018, video games are for everyone. Paris Games Week 2018 was the showcase for all video game practices and a sector that is committed to a more inclusive video game. The 188 exhibitors and 223 participating brands made it possible to present all the video game communities: families, publishers, developers, schools, props, associations, cosplayers, sportsmen. No less than 205 games were playable this year: a record. The publishers offered the public many activities to forge ever stronger links with the communities.
A veritable spectacle that brings together ever-growing supporters, esports competitions were once again in the spotlight on most of the stands at the show and in Hall 3, which was entirely dedicated to them. Paris Games Week welcomed players from all over the world, who met in finals of international competitions.
Finally, the show offered visitors the opportunity to discover rich and varied universes. By meeting both French and African studios, Paris Games Week Junior and Silver Geeks, Paris Games Week 2018 celebrated all the practices of video games.
This enthusiasm for Paris Games Week reflects the tremendous dynamism of an entire sector driven by talents who constantly innovate and renew themselves, and by communities of ever more committed enthusiasts. We are proud to have succeeded all together in this bet: to celebrate in good humor and conviviality the video game culture by bringing together for 5 days all those who make the heart of video games beat.
