First launch of Bee Simulator, a bee life simulation edited by BigBen and developed by Varsav on Unreal Engine. First surprise, the game runs on an older generation gaming laptop PC equipped with an nVidia 960M. We reach 30 fps in high mode which gives the game an already very attractive appearance.
But the eyes are not the only ones to be titillated, we also fill the ears with a soft and soothing musical atmosphere, and buzzes worthy of the best lightsaber recordings. The game begins with a narration in good French explaining the role of bees in our civilization. A really welcome educational phase at a time when bee mortality is often talked about. Remember that Bigben's title is PEGI 7 and it would be a shame not to educate the youngest in a fun way, especially since the game is full of anecdotes such as: “We found honey in Egyptian remains. After 4000 years, it was still edible ”.
Before this first introductory video, I was able to make the few tutorials offered to understand bee flight. Despite a poorly configured keyboard and mouse, I was still able to get by, the handling is exemplary, it is a model of simplicity.
For the moment, the only quests that are offered to me are honey collections, reconnaissance, or even fights (simple) against wasps. Otherwise, we are completely free to move around outside the hive. The continuation in the next video?
