The small Toxic Dog team continues the development of Ranch Simulator according to their roadmap. After gardening and greenhouses last month, farming is FINALLY appearing on this semi-serious and 100% fun simulation. Proof that today, generic engines like Unity or Unreal Engine allow anyone to manage cultures and their growth.
Ranch Simulator is therefore expanded with three new plots where you can indulge in farming. Two new vehicles are on sale at the dealership: a harvester and a tractor, to which you can attach several accessories.
For the moment, this is a simple introduction. Tillage, sowing, a little fertilizer, all that remains is to admire sunflower, corn or wheat growing quietly, until they are harvested. The ranch being small, don't expect to drive heavy equipment. Everything is suitable.
Once your crops are harvested using the harvester, you can dump into a grain trailer. The harvest can then be placed in a granary to feed livestock or put up for sale to make a profit.
Evolution to Unreal Engine 5
New graphics and new performance, the developers proudly announce the future switch to the new version of Epic Games' engine, the Unreal Engine 5. "This is an ambitious development step, but one that promises to significantly improve the quality of the game." promises Toxic Dog. A migration that should last between six and eight months, during which screenshots will be regularly published.
Even though the game is not very resource-intensive, switching to Unreal Engine 5 should provide better performance on games with large ranches that have lots of cattle.
Speaking of animals, the new roadmap talks about the arrival of… dogs and cats! Definitely, ranch simulator never ceases to surprise us.
