Almost two years ago, Lucasfilm Games announced its partnership with Ubisoft Massive to develop a new Star Wars open-world game. A few months later, Disney Games Senior Vice President Sean Shoptaw revealed that this partnership started when Disney saw what Ubisoft Massive had accomplished with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Le Ubisoft Massive creative director Julian Gerighty recently hinted on Twitter that this year will be a big one for the Star Wars open world. According to him, “2023 is going to be huge for us. Join the adventure”. This sentence seems to indicate that the game will be playable in one way or another, perhaps through limited testing phases. It would be odd if the open-world Star Wars title released before Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. However, it would make for an amazing year for Star Wars fans, given that the game Respawn's Jedi Survivor is slated for March 17. Case to follow…
