Pierre, one of our readers, recently wanted to testify about his transition from an Xbox One to a PC, and not the least since he offered himself a real gamer config for the occasion.
“Hello, I'm Pierre, new PC player. I left the Xbox community to come into the big computer world. What struck me the most was the difference in actions to be taken before launching a game; go to the store, register, choose a game, activate the license on a downloadable platform and then install the game to be able to play it. I found it a bit long at the time and complicated for the first time, but you quickly understand how it works. Unlike my Xbox where all the games are on the same platform and ready to download and play.
Personally, I think you should switch to PC if you have multiple goals in mind. If it's only gaming, without worrying about compatibility, updating all software, or obsolescence of your
PC, so take or stay on console. Of course, on PC there is everything, mods, 3D creations, all possible and unimaginable games, versatility between the world of gaming and the application world. Without realizing it, everything we own at home started out with a blank sheet ... and a computer!
What is also complicated is to choose a configuration according to the use that you want to make. I have an AMD Ryzen5 3600 paired with an Nvidia 2080 Gaming X Trio. Wanting to play games but also applications without being restricted, I found my compromise. But beware, my configuration exceeds 2000 € with all peripherals. But you have to think about the installations of the OS, drivers, updates etc .. while the average game consoles cost +/- 450 €, you plug in and it's launched.
After a few days of use, I feel comfortable at my workstation, I always find something to do, I never get bored. The games are more enjoyable and more immersive with the screen which is closer to the eyes. As for the keyboard / mouse, it's complicated at first with games like Rainbow Six, but with a little bit of determination, we quickly get the hang of it. Despite everything, I still use my Xbox One controller to play games like FS19 or Forza because it is more adequate.
No matter the platform, no matter what means you put in to play, whether it's a € 7000 PC or the first PS2, a gamer is a gamer. With all the technological advances, enjoy every moment on your favorite games. "
