We had already told you about the Cane Creek Road DLC when it was in development. Its arrival on Train Sim World 2 is imminent and Steam already offers a detailed sheet with some screenshots that leave you dreaming. Better, Dovetail just posted a video showing to what extent the external developers Skyhook Games knew how to master Unreal Engine 4. The lighting proposed by the engine sublimates the rocks of the canyon.
Edit of July 8, 2021: The DLC is available now! Watch our live presentation!
"Travel through the remote and incredible desert landscapes of the American West and brave impressive slopes carrying heavy loads on the Cane Creek Subdivision route of the Union Pacific" introduced the Steam file, on which the images are enough to convince us.
This new route replicates the Cane Creek Subdivision of the Union Pacific, also known as the Cane Creek Spur. Known for its western desert landscapes, the Cane Creek Subdivision stretches 56,3 miles from a connection with the Union Pacific's Green River Subdivision at Brendel, Utah, south to 'in Potash, Utah. The route recreated in Train Sim World 2 also includes a 8 mile section of the Green River Subdivision east of Brendel, towards Thompson, Utah.
From Potash to Brendel, the line rises almost 305 m on a course that displays slopes of 1,2%, and curves of up to 6 degrees and a passage of 2152 meters long through the Bootlegger Tunnel . The Cane Creek branch is a line that requires big diesels and a lot of horsepower. You will therefore take control of the Union Pacific General Electric AC4400CW and Electro-Motive SD40-2 diesel locomotives which are included in this DLC.
La Steam file is online but the exact date of publication is not yet communicated. This DLC will also be available on the console version of the game.
