Since October 25, players on Nintendo Switch have a new all-terrain vehicle simulator: Ultra Off-Road 2019 Alaska. Aimed at 4 × 4 enthusiasts, this simulation revolves around a dynamic weather system, a car damage repair system as well as large areas to explore. A feeling of déjà vu?
Ultra Off-Road 2019: Alaska is a title released a few months ago on PC by the Polish studio IceTorch Interactive. Ultimate Games is responsible for its conversion and release on Nintendo Switch. The game takes the player into the Alaskan wilderness, where they can test their skills and face very demanding terrain. This is a simulation that reproduces the off-road challenges faced by 4 × 4 drivers. But here no question of clearing a path in search of logs or a sawmill as in MudRunner, the player must drive and above all try to survive, between repairing the vehicle and the health of the driver.
Vehicles and maps
Players can choose from 6 different 4 × 4 cars, and play on 2 large, detailed maps. Two game modes: a standard career and a freeride mode for a quick game. The environments benefit from dynamic climate management, and a full day / night cycle. The title is available now on Nintendo eShop at this address: https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/ultra-off-road-2019-alaska-switch/
For PC players, you will have to go through Steam, but I advise you to read the comments before paying the 19 € necessary for the purchase. https://store.steampowered.com/app/957050/Ultra_OffRoad_2019_Alaska/
