While the development team has been rather discreet since the game's release, the IceFlames studio in charge of the development of Pure Farming intervened on Facebook Live. 80 minutes to answer questions from players.
1h20! Szymon Wawruch and Bart Antecki, from the development studio IceFlames, spoke for 1h20 live on the page of Pure Farming and responded live to various questions from the audience. Since yesterday, a free DLC allows players to play a version specially designed for Halloween, and obviously the team was inspired and is trying to distinguish the title from its competitors, at least until November 9.
A quest to break the routine of simulation
The DLC brings 2 changes in the gameplay. The first, visible on the player, is a set of 6 T-shirts with morbid decorations. The second is a quest which leads the player to look for 20 treasure chests scattered over the 4 maps. Dark atmosphere obliges, the chests only appear at night, from 21 p.m. to 5 a.m. Each box brings you of course a tidy sum of money, enough to afford a nice tractor on arrival. In short IceFlames shows originality for its title, and continues to bring it to life.
Update coming soon
But the live was also an opportunity for the players to recall the artificial intelligence problems suffered by the workers at Pure Farming. Bart Antecki's response: “We're actively working on it, and the next update might surprise you. It is true that since version 1.3 and the complete rewrite of the AI, players are starting to lose patience. And Szymon Wawruch added: “The next update will bring a lot of graphics improvements. In particular more advanced lighting effects. The Polish team seems to be keen to respond to the arrival of Farming Simulator 19, and it is not for us players that it will displease. This update should see the light of day in December.
Mods
Far behind its German competitor, Pure Farming is starting to intrigue a community of modders, of which I belong, and the workshop starts to fill up. For the most part, these are mods converted from existing hardware on Farming Simulator. The modding tool evolves with each update, it remains very easy to use but is less complete than the Giants Editor. The interest of Pure Farming is to be sought elsewhere than in the material for the moment.
Whether you like it or not, Pure Farming remains a title to discover by its originality, especially when playing on the Japan or Italy maps. The game is on sale at -60% for the duration of the event, i.e. € 11,99 in final price.
