There are 5 months, I was telling you about an independent game developed by Exponential Game: Lumberjack Simulator. The principle of the game is simple, since it will only be necessary to cut wood to sell it. Since its release on Steam in beta, the game has continued to evolve, although it retains this development status.
Steam posts an update almost every week for Lumberjack Simulator. The developer is 200% on his game and is improving it as best he can. I remind you that the “development team” is limited to one full-time person. In short, we are in the little independent game, so a little indulgence.
Most of the improvements are in physics. But by launching the game after 5 months of inactivity, we notice above all that it is the decor that has undergone the biggest change. The forest and the post-processing effects are much more beautiful, without giving us the visual slap offered by Snowrunner. Vehicles are also entitled to facelift. The addition of wear and normal map helps to make the whole thing smoother. The interiors have also been revised.
The general ergonomics are better. Navigating in the menus or on the map has become intuitive. Only shadows on the board: the camera is very difficult to handle when coming from Farming Simulator (the controls are reversed) and the gamepad controls are random, sometimes very slow and precise, sometimes very fast and messy. In short, there is still a long way to go and we will continue to monitor this game closely.
