And it is on the Facebook of the game presented by this first devlog of the future flagship title of Giants Software, Farming Simulator 19.
“Today we will introduce you to the new farm building systems that give you more options for how and where to build your farm. " introduced the development team. The central pillar of this new management is a change in the way the earth works. Rather than buying single fields, you are now purchasing land areas that include fields, forests, and space for buildings. You can then do whatever you want on that surface: create new fields, place silos for storage, place pastures, and cut trees for lumber.
Three new game modes
The "New farmer" mode is a balanced starting experience that gives you gear and a pre-placed little farm, ready to upgrade. This mode is similar to previous Farming Simulator games and recommended for new players.
The "Farm manager" mode gives you a lot of money but no farm or equipment to speak of. This leaves you totally free in building the farm of your dreams, choosing a starting location and crafting everything from product to aesthetics.
The "Start from nothing" mode (Start From Scratch) is the most hardcore, allowing realistic settings and allowing you to start without soil, without a farm and on a limited budget.
Clearly, the simulation opens up a little more on management, and no longer throws itself headlong into the machinery. With such a farm management system, adding maps in the form of a mod will inevitably lose its interest since it will be possible for the player to tailor it.
A multiplayer with several farms
This new management also makes it possible to have several farms on a multiplayer server, with individual players owning different areas of the map, and specializing in different areas. Maximize pastures to create a large herd of cattle, use arable land to produce feed, in short choose how to use the land as you wish. Multiplayer details will be revealed in an upcoming devlog.
Modding on Farming Simulator 19
Of course, modding is fully supported. Members of the modding community are welcome to create their own farms, silos and anything that can be installed in this new system. Map modders will be able to define their own purchasable areas, their associated NPCs, how much they cost and even if they are included in the “new farmer” mode.
"How will you play Farming Simulator 19?" Start from scratch, or build your dream farm in the most scenic locations with the revised graphics engine? wonders Giants Software. We can't wait to see what you'll do when Farming Simulator 19 releases later this year. "
