You missed the last week's promo on the AMD upgrade kit ? There is still a little time since the kit has not yet returned to its full price. And instead of €469,90 (i.e. -20%), it appears at €519,90 (-10%) and remains a safe bet. A quick reminder, this is an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X upgrade kit + a MAG B650 TOMAHAWK motherboard with Wifi connection and supporting DDR 5.
But you may not need a motherboard and a CPU. No problem, there are cool offers for upgrades on other components. Crucial has a very good kit at -21% with 2×8 GB of DDR 4 3200 (the XLR8) and a 5 TB (1 GB/s) NVMe P6,6 Plus SSD. The Kit is displayed at €149,99 and promises a final boost to a config that shows a few years.
On the GPU side, and always with a view to giving a boost to an aging config, Zotac drops the price of the RTX 3060 12 GB (not 8) to € 339,90 (-13%). A good price for a GPU that has largely proven itself and which allows you to play recent games in good conditions, in particular due to the presence of its 12 GB of DDR6 which will allow a good increase in resolution.
And who says resolution, says monitor. What would a good GPU be if it couldn't express itself fully on a screen worthy of the name. Fashion is curved (in any case, personally, I appreciate). MSI is dropping the price of its MAG342CQPV, a 34-inch curved gaming monitor released just over a year ago. The 13% reduction shows it at €349,99. As a reminder, this MSI has a resolution of 3440 x 1440 (UWQHD) at 100 Hz for a response time of 1 ms. Connectivity side, you will find a displayPort, and 2 HDMI.
Falling gaming laptop prices
Portable machines are not forgotten. And for those who want to play on the move, and I'm one of them, 2 references to watch this weekend.
The first is the ASUS TUF Gaming F17 – TUF707ZR-HX007, a laptop that allows you to see the future of gaming from a good angle. It is equipped with a 17.3″ IPS FullHD screen at 144Hz, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Max-P 8GB GDDR6 GPU, an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU, and 16GB of DDR5 4800Mhz. The only downsides are its M.2 PCIe 4.0 512 GB SSD, fast but skinny, and the operating system to be expected (it has no OS). For the rest, it's almost flawless, especially at this price: €1699,99.
We end with a less efficient gaming laptop, but quite decent, especially at this price: The MSI Thin GF63 12VE-064XFR. It is equipped with a 15,6″ screen at 144 Hz. Its GPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, will take advantage of DLSS 3 and display good performance in supported games (for the moment few). Its CPU, an Intel Core i5-12450H, has already proven itself in gaming. It is supported by 16 GB of DDR 4 RAM, a 1 TB SSD and comes without an operating system. An entry-level configuration that will delight small wallets since it is offered at €999,99 (-33%).
So much for the good HW plans of the WE. Feel free to post yours in the comments or on our Discord server to benefit everyone.
