Last month, I told you about the version 0.0.9.9 of Cattle And Crops which fixed some bugs impacting the performance. In the meantime there were the holidays, we all rested, me the first… but not at MasterBrain Bytes where the team rather redoubled their efforts. Point.
An alpha 0.1 on December 22
With Early Access 0.1 comes a new card with the code name of "Albergtal". Less flat, larger, with grid plots resembling FS maps. With this map comes a new save system, new menus, new machines and some bug fixes in the process.
Regarding the map, it has a short introductory mission that gives you the keys to a good start in the game. If you refuse it, no worries, you can start playing in free mode, unlock a loan and buy. your first materials. The technical demo card is always available if you want to go over the basic tutorials.
The Albergtal card measures 2 x 2 km and has more than 100 hectares of land spread over 49 fields, for a total value of € 2,5 million. The traders are finally available there to sell your productions: Port, cooperative, concessions of agricultural machinery, treatment plant or biogas. They are all displayed on the minimap if you are looking for them.
There is a farm with shelters and a building where you can park about fifty cattle, stuck to two plots. Even if you can put your cows in it, pasture feeding is not as productive as corn feeding (????). Cows now produce slurry while in the shed. For corn, that does not change. You can either store it as fodder on the farm or sell it directly to the biogas plant at the port.

Because the players jumped to the previous version, the feedback was quick and the bug fixes were just as good. Also the changelog took care of ten lines, in particular in relation to the mission system (some minor script problems).
2018 starts with a big changelog
“At the moment we are working on the bugs you reported and preparing for the next bugfix update. If there are no bigger problems afterwards, the next step is the release on Steam. Here is the good news which introduces this update 0.1.0.2 of January 12th.
The team highlights the progress of its bug hunting system: "We have improved the bugtracker, it can now import forum topics and convert them directly into tickets. For the future, it is important that each bug has its own thread in the forum… ”
A little break also on mod developments: “Due to major changes we had to make to vehicles and machines, we had to remove the sample mods for now. The job is almost done and we can deliver the machines already released as ZIP files to you shortly. »I remind you that the first mods have already seen the light of day on Cattle and Crops, you can find out in particular the Case IH 1455 XL mod on the site forum.

4 days later, this January 16, the team uploaded a final patch (before landing on Steam?) Correcting some save and corn silage problems. If you've taken part in the KickStarter campaign, you'll be happy to see your name in the game credits. In short, the title has taken a hell of a beating in the space of a month, showing a development team capable of reacting quickly to fixes bugs while working on the evolution of the title, it looks good all the same 😉
