Giants Software offers yet another DLC for its flagship title. The last one before the Farming Simulator 19 release at the end of the year? The question is not there, and the developer wants to prove to us once again that he is able to revive the interest of a title which is already showing 15 months in a market on the way to becoming competitive. Successful bet ? My opinion on this pack.
It has been igniting social networks for a few weeks. Some have even found substitute mods for him to wait, despite everything the Ropa DLC offered by Giants may well establish itself as the ultimate pack for growing beets and potatoes, especially if you practice multiplayer.
4 large equipment
The presentations have been made for a long time via the official Farming Simulator Facebook page, the DLC comes with 4 new materials by the culture giant Ropa (I do not count the 2 accessories). The German manufacturer presents these latest and largest models there: the Tiger 6 XL beet harvester, the Maus harvesters, and the Keiler 2 potato harvester which you will find technical sheets on the official website.
At the head of the bill is the imposing Tiger 6 XL and its 8 row puller which overshadows the Holmer Terra Dos T4-40. More powerful and less expensive to maintain than the “red” harvester, the Ropa harvester has a smaller hopper. We store 43m3 facing 45m3 of the Holmer. On the modeling side, if the Holmer was not bad, the Ropa Tiger 6 simply puts it in a “bootie” with an unmatched level of detail in the game.
Go from red to yellow
Cultivation of tubers was not the strength of the game since its release. Between Holmer and Grimme, there was no question of seeing life other than in red. And it was not until the end of 2017 that the modder " Chrisu70 »Brings the beginnings of the Ropa DLC before our eyes with the Tiger 6 and its little sister the Panther 2.
If these 2 mods have benefited from a remarkable job, the fact remains that the DLC proposed by Giants sets the bar a (good) notch above. The functionalities and the control of the equipment are complete, up to the “crabbing” (see photo IRL vs FS17 above), typical of self-propelled harvesters to prevent the wheels from passing twice in the same place, and the possibility of swiveling the seat in the cabin. The quality of the textures and models are breathtaking and we can only see the beginnings of the Farming Simulator 19 models as the level of detail is pushed. It is also necessary to have the necessary hardware configuration to be able to climb to the maximum the graphics of FS17.
The NawaRo Maus to do (almost) everything
A new tool alongside the Maus 5 collecting equipment and the Holmer Terra Felis 2, the NawaRo Maus can catch anything lying around on the ground… Really everything? Not quite, this Maus comes in addition to the first 2 tools mentioned which take care of collecting beets. The NawaRo takes care of the rest: corn silage, grass, sunflower, rapeseed, cereals… it ensures good work flow and can be handled like other collecting tools. An interesting tool that offers a new use in the game.
Multiplayer makes perfect sense
The 2 Maus from the manufacturer Ropa, with their sprawling arms, are machines that are difficult to grasp when playing alone. The idea is to pick up what is on the ground to place it in a trailer. Alone, it's not very complicated, but at 3, it's the foot! One at the back of the heap to be pushed with a tractor equipped with a blade, one which controls the Maus, and one with the trailer: here is a team which wins and a hitherto little exploited culture which finally takes all its meaning.
Especially since the announced price of € 7,99 makes this pack very accessible, where the other DLC was displayed twice. Unless a card of the competing simulation comes out the same day, there is no reason not to see the Ropa DLC make it to the long list of multiplayer games.
Finally know that unlike free Ropa mods, this DLC is available on all platforms, PC / MAC, Xbox One and PS4.

A must have!

"Go for it, you fools!" If there was just one sentence to say it would be this. This DLC is a success and once again revives the interest of the title as Giants knows how to do so well. Beets and potatoes are often the crops players shunned, so you will no longer have any excuses to find them a place in your plots during a multiplayer game. A downside for the display of tubers in the hopper which is done, in 2018, still with a vulgar texture.
