Logitech has launched the MX Ink, a stylus designed for 2D and 3D creation, compatible with Meta Quest VR and AR headsets. Sold at $130 and available this fall, it will be presented at the Meta Connect conference in September.
MX Ink Features
The marker-sized stylus has side buttons and a replaceable tip. It offers precise tracking thanks to its wireless technology and supports six degrees of freedom (6DoF). Haptic feedback and a pressure-sensitive tip enable precise 2D use on physical surfaces.
Charging and compatibility
The MX Ink is recharged via a support inspired by traditional inkwells. It works standalone with Quest headsets, without requiring external trackers or connection to a PC.
Usage and software compatibility
The MX Ink complements the Meta controllers without replacing them. It can be used in parallel to provide increased precision. Compatible with various software such as Adobe Substance Modeler and Gravity Sketch, it is also suitable for future Meta headsets.
Logitech's MX Ink presents itself as a surprising tool for digital creators, combining advanced technology and versatility in the Meta ecosystem.
