Two month break. The last Farming Simulator League tournament took place 2 months ago at Agritechnica. A lapse of time that allowed the different teams to refine their technique. For the Dreamhack, we expected some surprises. We got them!
This Saturday in Germany, teams of all stripes came to compete once again for the FSL Dreamhack tournament. Long-awaited matches to see the evolution of the level of the teams and especially to see if the Trelleborg team was able to regain its place on the throne.
On Saturday, for qualifying, the results were predictable. Krone loses against Landeier, Berthoud against JZD, and John Deere, Grimme and Trelleborg ensure their respective victories. We would therefore find ourselves on Sunday with a poster almost similar to previous tournaments.
In the quarter-finals, the supercharged Grimme team stood up to Komatsu in a complicated match. The red team owes its victory only to a lack of balls in the last 2 minutes. The following match will see JZD's loss to Lindner. The latter will surprise with a very important grain deposit, forcing JZD a multiplier of 1,7. Game 3 of this day will see John Deere take on Landeier. An extremely tight game that will be played in the last seconds. A concern for organization among the green and yellow, and a "gnac" for the blues of Die Landeier who will score almost 100 points in the last 8 seconds. Crazy!
Fourth game, Trelleborg takes advantage of the inexperience of Landwirtschaft 3.0 to show that the players are still capable of looking for the 800 points. It is also with this same type of score that the team will crush Landeier in the semi-final. Grimme will draw Lindner with 811 points. But having loaded a ball more than its competitor, it is the team of Scotty, Marci, and Donnerkeil who will come away with the victory to face Trelleborg in the final.
And what a final! It will be played in 3 sets, Trelleborg wins the first but loses the second due to a fault by Felix who gets stuck on a bridge with his tractor and his press. The third round will put everyone in agreement, Trelleborg is indeed THE queen team of this FSL tournament. See you in a month, in Poland, to confirm it.
